Neil P. Page
Neil Page was a pitcher in Australia. He played for South Australia from 1964-1974 (missing 1966, 1968 and 1972) and Western Australia from 1975-1977. The Cincinnati Reds signed him in 1966 but he never played in the US. He played for Australia's national team in 1964, 1965, 1968-1971, 1973-1975 and 1977. He was MVP of the 1969 Claxton Shield. The Cincinnati Reds offered him a contract at one point but an arm injury prevented him from playing in the US. He once pitched 19 innings in a game. He played for Australia in the 1971 Asian Championship, their first major international event and in the 1975 Asian Championship, when they won the Bronze for their only Asian Championship medal. In 2005, he was an inaugural inductee into the Baseball Australia Hall of Fame.
