Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Nate Hyatt has played in the Atlanta Braves minor league system since 2012 (through 2014). He was taken by the club in the 13th round of the 2012 amateur draft. Scouted by Billy Best, he was signed for a $100,000 bonus and began his pro career that summer.

Hyatt had a 1.46 ERA in 18 appearances between the Danville Braves and Rome Braves in 2012, striking out 37 batters in 24 2/3 innings, and followed that with a 12 save, 3.86 ERA season in 2013 for the Lynchburg Hillcats, K-ing 55 batters in 46 2/3 innings. He began 2014 with Lynchburg.

On January 8, 2015, he and 3B Kyle Kubitza were traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in return for P Ricardo Sanchez.
