Biographical Information[edit]
Mychal Givens was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2009 amateur draft (the scout was John Martin) and played his first three professional seasons as a shortstop, starting in 2010, reaching the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League in 2012. He led the 2011-2012 Australian Baseball League in stolen bases.
In 2013 the Orioles moved him to the mound, and a little over two years later, he made his major league debut on June 25, 2015.
