Municipal Stadium (Waterbury)
Municipal Stadium is a stadium in Waterbury, CT. It was originally opened as a dog track in 1930.
Municipal Stadium hosted the Waterbury Timers in 1947-1950. It then hosted teams in the Eastern League from 1966 to 1984: Waterbury Giants (1966-1967, 1977-1978), Waterbury Indians (1968-1969, 1985-1986), Waterbury Pirates (1970-1971), Waterbury Dodgers (1973-1976), Waterbury A's (1979), Waterbury Reds (1980-1983), and Waterbury Angels (1984). The Waterbury Spirit used the stadium from 1997-2000.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament was held at Municipal Stadium in 2002, 2004, 2017-2019, and 2022-2023.
