Moultrie Giants

From BR Bullpen

In 1952 the formerly independent Moultrie To-baks of the Georgia-Florida League became affiliated with the New York Giants and promptly took on the name Moultrie Giants. The Giants had a horrid year - scoring the fewest runs (509), allowing the most (776) and finishing 18 games out of 7th place in the 8-team circuit. Overall they were 44-96 with one tie. Moultrie did not field a team in the Georgia-Florida League for two years after the 1952 debacle.
