Biographical Information[edit]
Motoo Takemura joined the Hankyu Braves in 1949, but he didn't play any games with the big club. He then jumped to the Hiroshima Carp, and he had a 5.19 ERA in 8 games in 1950. He went 1-for-11 at the plate, and that hit was a homer. He was one of the three NPB players whose only career hit was a home run (the other two were Morimichi Shiose and Don Schulze). The 1950 season was his last season.
