Moritz Sckaer has pitched in Germany for several years.

Sckaer pitched one perfect inning in 2004 for the Cologne Cardinals. In 2005, he was 2-2 with a 2.36 ERA and allowed only 31 hits in 45 1/3 IP. He was third in the northern Bundesliga-1 in ERA, was 4th with 3 saves and was second in lowest average allowed, behind Eugen Heilmann.

Moritz was 6-4 with a 3.95 ERA for the 2006 Cardinals. He was sixth in ERA, 7th in strikeouts (50) and tied for third in wins. In '07, he had a similar 6 -4, 3.60 to finish 8th in the league in ERA, 8th in strikeouts (46), tied for 5th in wins (with Benigno Ozuna and Mirco Heid) and 8th in WHIP (1.39).

In 2008, Sckaer spent part of the year in college in the USA, going 1-4 with a 8.42 ERA for Ottawa University. Back with the Cardinals in Germany, he was 6-3 with a 1.86 ERA and 43 hits in 63 innings over the remainder of the year. He was 4th in ERA (behind Ozuna, Enorbel Márquez and André Hughes), tied for 7th in strikeouts (48), tied for fourth in wins and 4th in opponent average (.191).

Mo had a 3-11, 7.63 record for Ottawa in 2009. He is on Germany's preliminary 40-man roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
