Monte Plata (province)

Monte Plata is a province located in the center of the Dominican Republic, whose southern border is only 20 miles north of Santo Domingo on the country's southern coast, and whose northern border comes just as close to Samana Bay on the northern coast. The province's capital and principal city is also called Monte Plata; other cities include Peralvillo, Sabana Grande de Boya and Yamasá
