Biographical Information[edit]
Monte Pfyl played one game for the New York Giants in 1907. The team used seven first basemen that year, including Pfyl and the 18-year-old Fred Merkle.
His son, Monte Pfyl Jr., was a football star at Stanford University, class of 1941.
