Biographical Information

Moisés Flores has played for the Nicaraguan national team.

Flores hit .298/.349/.366 as a rookie for Esteli in the 2009 Nicaraguan summer league, then fell to .264/.327/.312 in 2010. In 2011, he batted .275/.330/.352. He hit .378/.457/.595 but did not play enough to qualify for the 2012 batting title, or he would have edged Juan Oviedo. He made Nicaragua's squad for the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, going 0 for 2.

In 2013, he was even better for Esteli - .414/.509/.559 in 61 games - but slipped to .293/.393/.315 in 28 games for Granada again and lost out in the batting race to Darrel Campbell, who hit .413. He hit .700 for Nicaragua when they won the 2013 Central American Games, .006 behind tourney leader Dwight Britton; he led in slugging (1.500). During the 2014 season, he played for both Esteli (.366/.442/.495 in 61 G) and Dantos (.323/.373/.409 in 25 G). 2015 was spent entirely with Esteli and he was again a big hitter at .372/.462/.543.

Flores slumped to .288/.426/.448 for Esteli in 2016 but led the league for the first time, with ten triples. In 2017, he rebounded to .373/.459/.523. He split 2018 between Esteli (.333/.395/.538 in 29 G) and Chontales (.451/.533/.804 in 16 G). His career average was .330 after 735 games.
