Biographical Information[edit]
Mitch Plassmeyer played college ball for three different schools, as noted above. He graduated from Bradley University in 2019.
After college Plassmeyer joined St. Louis, MO based Premier Pitching and Performance (P3) as a Trainer. He gradually worked his way up to Director of Remote Pitching and then to Director of Pitching. Plassmeyer left P3 in the summer of 2021 to become the Director of Player Development for the University of Missouri Tigers. He was elevated to pitching coach in January 2022 when Brian DeLunas passed away from kidney disease.
In May 2022 the Baltimore Orioles hired Plassmeyer as the organization's Minor League Pitching Coordinator. He stayed in that role through 2023. The Orioles promoted Plassmeyer to assistant pitching coach with the major league team in 2024.
Mitch Plassmeyer is the brother of major league pitcher Michael Plassmeyer.
