Mirco Caradonna debuted in the Italian Baseball League in 2009.

Caradonna was 0 for 1 for Italy when they won the 2007 European Junior Championship. He was in the MLB European Academy in 2008 and 2009. In the 2009 IBL season, he debuted with his hometown Nettuno club, going 3 for 25 with 7 walks and six runs as a backup at 2B to Renato Imperiali. He hit .292/.370/.375 with 3 steals in four tries and 7 runs in six games when Italy won the 2009 European Junior Championship. He was 2 for 12 with two walks in the 2009 European Cup, won by Nettuno. He went 13 for 46 for Nettuno in 2010, with four doubles and a home run as a backup 2B-OF.

In the 2010 World Junior Championship, Mirco was one of the top hitters. He produced at a .417/.500/.792 rate and stole home against Venezuela. He finished with 8 runs in 7 games and 3 steals in 3 tries. He was 7th in the tournament in average, third in slugging (behind Tzu-Wei Lin and Michael Lorenzen), tied for 9th in OBP (with Jorge Soler), tied for 5th in runs (8), tied for second with two home runs (one behind leader Ryan Battaglia), tied for second in steals and sixth in total bases (19). He was not as good at short, fielding .730 with 10 errors to tie Mattia Mercuri for the most.

Caradonna became the starting second baseman for Nettuno in 2011, though he was still a teenager. He hit .247/.316/.354 with 28 runs and 9 steals (in 15 tries).
