Biographical Information[edit]

Ming-Hsiang Chang pitched in the CPBL for 4 years.

Chang was drafted by the Lamigo Monkeys in the 9th round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, and he went 2-2 with a 4.88 ERA in the minors in 2016. He slumped to 0-4 with a 8.29 ERA in 2017, then he went 3-3 with a 5.09 ERA in 2018. Chang pitched one game with the big club in each of 2016 and 2018 season. He led the minor league with 36 appearances in 2019, and he notched 9 holds with a 6.36 ERA. He also pitched 10 games with the big club, and his ERA was 3.75. Chang had a 9.39 ERA in 5 relief outings before he underwent Tommy John surgery in 2020, and he never pitch another game until he announced his retirement in 2022.

Overall, Chang was 0-1 with a 5.20 ERA, pitched 27 2/3 innings and struck out 20 in 4 seasons in the CPBL.
