Biographical Information

Catcher Ming-Chieh Lin played in the CPBL for 7 years.

Lin was drafted by the CTBC Brothers in the seventh round of the 2015 CPBL Draft, but he stayed in the minor league for most of his first two seasons, only playing 4 games combined with the big club. He hit .191/.222/.294 in 27 games in 2017, and he was 1-for-9 in the 2017 Taiwan Series. The Lamigo Monkeys beat the Brothers in 5 games. Lin then hit .129/.206/.129 in 21 games in 2018, and his batting line was .260/.315/.400 in 43 games in 2019. He was 0-for-1 in the 2019 Taiwan Series, and the Monkeys beat the Brothers in 5 games again. Lin only played 3 games with the big club in 2020, and he hit .234/.269/.375 32 games in 2021. After staying in the minor league in 2022, Lin announced his retirement.

Overall, Lin had hit .209/.250/.312 with 49 hit in 7 seasons in the CPBL.
