Biographical Information

Min-gi Jang has pitched in the KBO and for the South Korean national team.

Jang was drafted by the KIA Tigers in the second round of the 2021 KBO draft, and he was 2-1 with a 3.47 ERA in 2021. He then missed the next two seasons due to military service, and he made South Korea's young club for the 2023 Asian Championship. He relieved Dong-hun Kang in the 5th inning against Hong Kong, and he pitched 2 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks. In the Bronze Medal Game, he pitched a shutout inning with a strikeout against Mark Beronilla, and Korea beat the Philippines with a 7-0 score; they won Bronze. Jang suffered from knee injury in 2024, and he didn't appear for the big club.
