Biographical Information[edit]

Milton Croes played for both the Dutch Antilles national team and the Aruban national team.

Croes was 1-1 with a 4.67 ERA for the Netherlands Antilles in the 1984 Amateur World Series. He was third on the team in ERA (behind Angelo Clemencia and Rudson Roberto), second in strikeouts (10, one behind Roberto) and second in IP (17 1/3, 2 2/3 behind Roberto). After Aruba split off politically from the Antilles, he played for Aruba in the 1991 Pan American Games. He won the Aruba Sports Award that year.

He helped for the Aruban Red Machine that finished second in the 1993 World Port Tournament. He was 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA for the Red Machine in the 1995 World Port Tournament, second on the team in ERA behind Sherwin Howell. He was 0-2 with a 7.90 ERA for Aruba in the 1996 Haarlem Baseball Week but was still third on the eight-man staff in ERA behind Robert Spencer and Howell.

In 2017, Aruba dedicated their baseball championship in honor of him.
