Biographical Information[edit]

Miles "Pepe" Lucas played briefly in the Negro Leagues.

The Biographical Encyclopedia of the Negro Baseball Leagues lists him with the Cuban Stars in 1919-1920 as a regular outfielder and pitcher. He then pitched for lesser teams like the New Orleans Crescent Stars. [1] In 1925, he was 3-1 with a save and a 3.29 ERA (143 ERA+) for the Harrisburg Giants and helping his own cause by going 5 for 14 at the plate. Had he qualified, he would have been 6th in the Eastern Colored League in ERA, between Connie Rector and Webster McDonald. [2] He saw bit action the next two years for Harrisburg.
