Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Strahler played for the Santurce Crabbers of the Puerto Rico Winter Baseball League during the 1972-73 season. Ironically, just months before, Strahler had laid perhaps his greatest claim to baseball immortality by becoming a footnote to one of the major milestones of Santurce's most celebrated alumnus, Roberto Clemente. The latter's June 19th two-run homer off Strahler pushed him past Pie Traynor on the Pittsburgh Pirates' all-time RBI list, trailing only Honus Wagner.
