Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Mike Nikorak was the 27th overall pick in the 2015 amateur draft, taken by the Colorado Rockies as the first pick in the supplemental first round as compensation for the loss of Michael Cuddyer via free agency. In his first professional campaign that year, with the Grand Junction Rockies, he was 0-4 with a 11.72 ERA in eight starts, allowing 26 hits and 32 walks in 17 2/3 innings for a 3.283 WHIP. Despite his lamentable start, he began 2016 as the club's #13 prospect per Baseball America, back with Grand Junction.
