Biographical Information[edit]
Mike McDermott was a semi-pro player who got attention when he threw a no-hitter in 1894. He played most of his major league time with the Louisville Colonels in 1895 and 1896, and while he posted a 5.99 ERA in 1895, it was close to the team ERA of 5.90. In addition to his three seasons in the majors, he also had three seasons in the minors. After baseball he worked as a laborer.
He should not be confused with Michael McDermott or Mickey McDermott.
