Biographical Information

Pitcher Mike Jones was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round of the 2001 amateur draft and made his pro debut that summer. He steadily progressed through the ranks of the Brewers farm system, reaching the AA level with the Huntsville Stars in 2003 and 2004. However, he missed the entire 2005 season following shoulder surgery. He returned to the mound in 2006 with the Brevard County Manatees, going 0-2 with a 2.80 ERA for them before making one late season start for Huntsville. He was 2-2 with a 5.08 ERA for Huntsville in 2007 before missing the remainder of the season due to injuries.
