Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Mike Hill played in the Houston Astros system from 1999 to 2004. He was drafted by the club in the 18th round of the 1999 amateur draft. He began his career with 22 stolen bases and a .297 batting average at low-Class A in 1999 and followed that with a .313 mark in 56 games in 2000. Perhaps his best campaign was 2001 with the Lexington Legends, when he hit .305/.381/.475 with 12 home runs, 65 RBI and 27 stolen bases in 119 games. He followed that with 14 home runs and 14 stolen bases in 2002. After a down year in 2003, he still reached Triple A in 2004 to wrap up his career.

Overall, he batted .288/.349/.439 with 47 home runs, 271 RBI and 76 stolen bases in 534 games.
