Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Easom played and managed in the minors and later was a longtime college coach.
After attending Florida State University, infielder Easom was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 23rd round of the 1969 amateur draft. He played two seasons in their organization and another year in the Montreal Expos system.
Easom later managed for several seasons and lead the Paintsville Yankees to back-to-back Appalachian League crowns in 1980 and 1981. He was also the longtime head coach at Indian River State College, winning 1,036 games and leading the school to a runner-up finish in the 1995 NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series.
