Mike Connolly has been a college coach.

Connolly played baseball (third base) and basketball in college. He remained at Brandeis as an assistant coach from 1995-1998 and then moved to Bowdoin College as head coach. He guided Bowdoin to its first 20-win season in 2004 and set a school record with 28 wins in 2006. He was named New England Small College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004. He set the Bowdoin career record for wins (280 through 2011), breaking the record held by his predecessor, Harvey Shapiro.

Connolly has also taught at Brockton High School.
