Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Compton was in the house merely in 1970, sharing the catching reins with a cast of thousands (or a handful) that included Mike Ryan and Tim McCarver. After hitting only .164 in 47 games, he went back to the minors, never to return. Later, he managed the 1976 Auburn Phillies, 1977 Spartanburg Phillies, 1978-1979 Tampa Tarpons and 1980 Waterbury Reds.
