Biographical Information

The brother of Tony Brewer, Mike Brewer, like his brother, played one season in the major leagues.

Mike was a first-round pick in the January 1979 amateur draft while Tony was signed as a free agent the same year, both out of Foothill College. Tony came up in 1984 while Mike came up in 1986. Tony was 5' 11" while Mike was 6' 5". Mike, who played right field, was the same age as Darryl Motley, the Kansas City Royals' regular right fielder in 1986, his only major league season. Mike slugged 98 career minor league home runs.
