Biographical Information

Mike Bisenius played one year in the pros; his brother Joe Bisenius made the majors.

Mike hit .370 as a high school junior. He redshirted as a college freshman then hit .354/.449/.590 in 2009. He slumped to .285 in 2010. In 2011, the junior batted .401 with 8 HR and 48 RBI and was named All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Washington Nationals took him in the 48th round of the 2011 amateur draft. He signed with his hometown Sioux City Explorers for 2012 but hit only .215/.282/.252 in 48 games; he fielded .986 as a regular in right field.
