Biographical Information

Mike Beard pitched parts of four seasons in the majors with the Atlanta Braves. In May 1977, he was optioned to the Triple A Richmond Braves but refused to report. Later that month, he was dealt to the St. Louis Cardinals for Eddie Solomon and he finished his career that summer playing for the New Orleans Pelicans.
