Biographical Information

Catcher Miguel Del Castillo played in the minors from 2009 to 2017, all in the San Diego Padres organization. He reached AAA for 20 games with the El Paso Chihuahuas in 2016, but spent the bulk of his career in Class A and below and was always a back-up after his first couple of seasons.

After his playing career he stayed in the Padres organization as a manager, starting with the DSL Padres in 2018. He was hitting coach of the ACL Padres in 2022-2023 and bench coach of the San Antonio Missions in 2024.
