Biographical Information[edit]
Mickey Kreitner caught five seasons 1941 to 1945, two in the Major Leagues and three in the minors and was inactive in 1942. He was inducted into the Army in February 1943 and hospitalized for a blood clot caused by being "beaned" when he was a catcher for Nashville, discharged in April 1943 (TSN). He had two cups of coffee with the Chicago Cubs in 1943 and 1944. He died at age 80 and is buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville TN.
After his playing days, he owned and operated restaurants.
