First baseman Mickey Heath hit .335 with 15 triples, 10 home runs and 115 RBIs for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1926. He was with the Hollywood Stars the next four seasons. In 1928, he hit .307 with 19 homers and 109 RBIs. The next year, he hit .349 with a team-high 38 home runs and 156 RBI as the Stars won the Pacific Coast League pennant. In 1930, he hit .324 with 37 homers and 136 RBI and set a PCL record with 12 consecutive hits.
After the 1930 season, Heath was acquired by the Cincinnati Reds, and he began the 1931 season as the club's regular first baseman. However, he broke his arm early in the season and then was stricken with rheumatic fever while recovering, missing the remainder of the year. After the season, he was badly burned when his home caught fire. He played 39 games with the Reds in 1932 before going back to the minors.
Heath was later manager of the Milwaukee Brewers of the American Association in 1939 and 1940 and then spent a decade as the team's radio broadcaster.
