Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Michael Reed began his professional career in 2011.

He was taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 5th round of the 2011 amateur draft, one pick after pitcher Nick Tropeano. After a mediocre first campaign in the minors, he stole 14 bases in 62 games in 2012 and in 2013, he hit .286/.385/.400 with 13 triples and 26 stolen bases in 118 games for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and was named to the MiLB.com Organization All-Star team. He hit .255/.396/.378 with 33 stolen bases in 110 games for the Brevard County Manatees in 2014 after being named the Brewers' 15th-best prospect by MLB.com heading into the season.
