Catcher Meng-Hsiu Tsai is an Atlanta Braves signee who made his minor league debut in 2010.
Tsai was signed by Jeremy Chou and Phil Dale of the Atlanta Braves within two weeks of his 18th birthday. He signed for a bonus of around $100,000. His .324 average ranked 4th in the 2008 MLB Australian Academy. On July 6, 2010, he made his minor league debut for the GCL Braves, going 0 for 1 against the GCL Blue Jays. Tsai didn't got many chance, and was released by the Braves in 2011. He decided to come back to his hometown, and the Lamigo Monkeys drafted him on the 6th round of 2012 CPBL draft. Tsai still didn't play well in pro baseball, when the Monkeys drafted talented young catchers like Shih-Hao Liu and Yu-Hao Hsu in the 2013 CPBL draft, Tsai was released again, and his professional career ended in this year.
