Biographical Information[edit]

Mem Lovett was in one game with the 1933 Chicago White Sox.

He was on the Park Board of Oak Park, IL and a field in the town is named after him.

This article states that Lovett graduated from the University of Chicago and quit pro baseball not long after his major league debut. He spent years running the recreation department in Oak Park.

His nickname "Mem" is presumably the result of having first and middle initials "M. M.", so that M. M. Lovett sounds like Mem.
