Biographical Information

Mel Krause played minor league baseball from 1954-1961 for the Salem Senators and Eugene Emeralds.

Krause coached at Milwaukie High School, Willamette High School, Franklin High School (Portland), and North Eugene High School while playing and through 1963. He was basketball coach at Lane Community College from 1967-1970. Krause was the baseball coach at University of Oregon from 1971 to 1981 when the school dropped baseball.
