Biographical Information[edit]
Matthew Yun-Lin Lai pitched two games for Hong Kong in the 2010 Intercontinental Cup, allowing four runs in an inning against South Korea and an unearned run in 2/3 of an inning versus Nicaragua. He gave up two hits, three walks and five runs (four earned) in 1 2/3 IP. He also played in the 2013 East Asian Games. In the 2014 Asian Games, he was the lone southpaw on Hong Kong's squad and he pitched in all 3 games, joining Ka-Ho Sam Leung, Wing-Sing Li and Yu-Chung Leung in doing so for Hong Kong. He worked 2 1/3 IP and allowed 4 hits, 4 walks and 3 runs (all earned) - his 13.50 ERA was right around the team mean.
