Biographical Information

Matthew Rienzi attended Xavier High School where he was Pitcher of the Year his freshman year. He then attended Johnson & Wales University, but quickly transferred to St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) where he was a pitcher for the varsity baseball team.

Matthew joined the Polish National Baseball Team in 2015, where he pitched in the European Baseball Championship B-Level. Joining Poland, he was the youngest member of the team, where he started off his international career with three appearances out of the bullpen. He allowed 5 hits and 4 runs in 2 1/3 IP. He led the team in games pitched; only Eimantas Zickus of Lithuania pitched more in the event.
