Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher Matt Lujan began his professional career in 2012.

He went undrafted after going 23-17 in a four year career at University of San Francisco. The San Francisco Giants signed him as a free agent on April 13, 2012 and assigned him to the AZL Giants, with whom he went 4-1 with a 1.95 ERA in 37 innings. The dominance is tempered by the fact that he was 2.5 years older than the average Arizona League pitcher. In 2013, he went 7-0 with a 3.33 ERA in 15 games (12 starts) for the Augusta GreenJackets and in 2014, he was 12-4 with a 2.81 ERA in 24 games (22 starts) between the GreenJackets and San Jose Giants.
