Biographical Information

Matt Hollowell was a major league umpire from 2000 to 2004, working a total of 517 games over those five seasons. He first came up in August of 2000. He had a particularly quick thumb, as he led the majors in ejections with 14 in 2003 and accumulated 28 over his relatively short umpiring career. In 2010, he became an umpire evaluator for Minor League Baseball.
