Biographical Information[edit]
Matt Hockenberry pitched in the Philadelphia Phillies chain from 2014-2017, peaking at AA. He went 12-5 with 28 saves and a 3.38 ERA in 131 games. He was then pitching coach of the GCL Phillies West in 2018 and Lakewood BlueClaws in 2019. Hockenberry was slated to return to Lakewood in 2020 until the coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of the minor league season. He was pitching coach for the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in 2021, Reading Fightin Phils in 2022, and Clearwater Threshers in 2023.
Hockenberry was also an assistant coach for Webber International University in 2022.
