Biographical Information

Catcher Matt Current played in the Philadelphia Phillies system from 1988 to 1991. He was taken by the club in the 22nd round of the 1988 amateur draft and began his professional career at 17 years old. He hit just .109/.183/.109 his first year and .226/.317/.265 in 412 career at-bats. He did not advance past A-ball and had just one home run and 38 RBI.
