Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Matt Carasiti made his major league debut with the Colorado Rockies towards the end of the 2016 season. In 19 games, he went 1-0 but with a bloated 9.19 ERA, the result of giving up 25 hits and 11 walks in 15 2/3 innings. On June 26, 2017, he was traded to the Chicago Cubs in return for fellow reliever Zac Rosscup. He spent 2018 with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of NPB, going 7-3 with a 4.18 ERA, then re-surfaced for 11 games with the Seattle Mariners in 2019, lowering his career ERA to 7.46.
