Matsoboke Thaane started in right field and hit 7th for the Lesotho national team in the opener of the 1999 All Africa Games. He was retired by Braydon Bartle in his lone at-bat of a 43-0 loss to South Africa; Bahzakoan Shelike pinch-hit for him in the 5th. He did not play again in the event.
