Braydon Bartle pitched for the South African national team. In the 1999 All Africa Games, he one-hit Lesotho in the opener, giving up 3 walks and fanning 10 in a five-inning mercy rule win. Rethabile Mosotho had the lone hit. He was second on the dominant South African staff in strikeouts, two behind Vaughn Berriman. South Africa won a Gold Medal. He was not on the South African team in the 2000 Olympics. He got the lone South African win (versus France) of the 2001 Baseball World Cup, going 1-0 with two hits, two walks, five strikeouts and no runs in five innings over three relief outings. He had a 1-1, 7.36 record in the 2003 World Port Tournament, tying for 9th with 8 strikeouts and tying for third with 8 walks.
