Biographical Information[edit]
Matej Berginc was on the Slovenian national team in the 1999 European Championship, being used as a pitcher, center fielder, right fielder and DH. He hit .313/.313/.500 with 3 RBI in 5 games, leading Slovenia in average (.005 ahead of Domen Rotar), slugging (.038 ahead of Rotar) and RBI. He was 0-2 with a 12.91 ERA, allowing 21 hits in 7 2/3 IP and losing to the Czech Republic's Pavel Budský and Germany's Michael Wäller. [1] He was with Kranjski Lisjaki for the 2001 European Cup. [2]
