Biographical Information[edit]
Masaya Sumikawa represented Japan in the 2005 Baseball World Cup. Backing up Daisuke Kusano at second and Kanya Suzuki at third, he was 5 for 16 (all singles, no walks) with three runs and a RBI in six games, handling 16 chances error-free. He played for Nippon Life in the Industrial League after college.
