Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Mary Beschorner played two seasons in the AAGPBL, spending 1949 with the Grand Rapids Chicks and 1950 with the Peoria Redwings. Her first season, she fielded only .879 while hitting .165/.184/.212 off the bench. She was 0 for 6 in the playoffs. With Peoria in 1950, she was one of a few outfielders to rotate among two slots (only Twila Shively held down a starting job all year), batting .150/.210/.173 and playing error-free ball with 3 assists in 41 games in the field. Overall, her career batting line was .156/.200/.188 while she fielded .953. She had four steals, no homers, 12 runs and 14 RBI in 85 regular-season games.

Away from the diamond, she was also an accomplished golfer.
