Biographical Information[edit]

Martin Bosý has been a player for the Slovakian national team and in the Czech Republic's Extraliga.

Bosý was 2 for 21 with four walks, four runs and two RBI for Slovakia in the 2009 European Junior Championship, allowing 21 steals in 23 tries as a catcher. He came to the Extraliga in 2011 and hit .200/.303/.263 for Hroši Brno, allowing 17 steals in 18 tries and fielding .960. In the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, he batted .353/.333/.412 with four runs and four RBI in four games. In 2012, he improved to .337/.455/.446 for Hroši Brno while fielding .990 though his throwing arm remained a problem (34 SB, 3 CS). In the 2013 B-Level European Championship, he was one of Slovakia's top stars, hitting .300/.462/.600 with 5 runs and 9 RBI in 5 games. Defense was the drawback as he had two errors and allowed four steals in five tries. He was 6th in slugging, tied for 4th in runs with Victor Samchuk, tied Viacheslav Vasilyev for first in RBI, tied for first triples (1), tied for first in home runs (1, even with Ferdinand Obed and Michael-Anthony Ferrato), second in total bases (12, 3 behind Vasilyev), tied for 3rd in steals (2) and tied for first in hit-by-pitch (2).
