Biographical Information[edit]
Mart King played center field in 1870 for the Chicago White Stockings, and then continued when the team played in the first year of the National Asociation. In addition to center field, he also played catcher and shortstop (and a game at third). He was not a strong hitter, though, and when he went 0-for-11 with the 1872 Troy Haymakers, he was done in the National Association.
