Biographical Information[edit]

Mark Tranberg pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Tranberg was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 35th round of the 1992 Amateur Draft, and he went 0-2 with a 8.10 ERA for the Batavia Clippers. He was 8-1 with a 1.98 ERA for the Spartanburg Phillies in 1993, and he also had a 7-3 record with a 2.50 ERA for the Clearwater Phillies. Tranberg then had an elite 0.14 ERA with a 7-1 record in Clearwater in 1994, but he went 3-12 with a 6.03 ERA for the Reading Phillies. He was 6-6 with a 3.73 ERA in Reading in 1995, and his ERA was 7.23 in 11 games for AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons. Tranberg had a 9-3 record with a 2.93 ERA for the Long Beach Riptide in 1996, and he recorded a 5.17 ERA in 5 games for the Mission Viejo Vigilantes. The Mercuries Tigers of Taiwan then signed him, but Tranberg only had a 5.09 ERA in 5 games and his professional career ended.
